PARADISE
VALLEY SPRINGS, BIRD & WILDLIFE PARK - Tour Code PV
A superb nature park set amongst 50 acres of native bush with the Ngongotaha
stream meandering throughout. The stream, along with crystal clear pools,
is home to Rainbow, Brown, Brook and Tiger Trout. Get up close to the
animals of the park, such as Kune Kune and Captain Cook pigs, deer,
ducks and wallabies. The Wetlands area is home to many species of birdlife
- various species of ducks and waterfowl and Black swans. A special
enclosure houses the cheeky Kea bird, an Alpine parrot.

Situated
adjacent to the main park is a purpose-built enclosure housing an African
Lion pride who are fed daily at 2.30p.m.
Home
to Te Waireka (Sweet Water) Spring, the park also has a Bottling Plant
which produces beautiful water from this spring.
All walkways within the park are either paved or boarded and are wheelchair
friendly.
Paradise Valley has
recently installed a magnificent Treetops Walkway which gets you up close
to the beautiful Wood Pigeons, who make Paradise their home.
